It is my distinct pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Great Dane Htg & A/C. My affiliation with them began 3 years ago when I was assigned to them as their Territory Manager for Carrier Great Lakes. A Michigan based distributor for Carrier Heating and Air Conditioning products.

There are several reasons why they should be honored with this award, since there are so many I will highlight a few.

Marketing: Great Dane utilizes all the programs that Carrier offers to help the Dealer brand not only the contractor but also the Carrier product. By far they have the most impressive showroom in my entire Territory. Their advertising campaign is consistent and aggressive throughout the entire year, with an emphasis on customer comfort and creating a call to action for the consumer.

External Customer satisfaction: During my tenure calling on them they have implemented a 100% satisfaction guarantee or your money back program. They always go the extra mile to ensure their customers are educated on the purchase, with complete follow up on the proper operation and care of the HVAC system.

Internal Customer Satisfaction: The management team at Great Dane always has they unique ability of attracting the areas top quality installers and servicemen, with a high retention on these employees. This is primarily due to their great reputation in the area of their commitment to training and educating their staff on the newest industry products and trends. They also create a large extended family atmosphere, not only concerned about the professional development of their employee but also, concerned about their quality of life for themselves and families.

Comfort Options: In a weak economy and mild air conditioning season Great Dane was able to assist their customers in picking the best products to fit their comfort needs.

63% of their Furnace sales were 2 stage units staying consistent with their message of comfort to their customers.

50% of their Air Conditioning sale were 15 SEER or higher. 39% being 2 stage units.

83% were Puron / R410A units.

They are a great example of a company that just does a lot of things right for the sake of taking care of their customers and the love of the HVAC industry as a whole.
